Karen D. McCarthy
Ms. McCarthy attended Loyola University of the South in New Orleans, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, summa cum laude, in 1981 and a juris doctorate, magna cum laude, in 1984. Ms. McCarthy was a member of the Loyola Law Review from 1983 to 1984, and she received the Best Comment Award in 1984.
Ms. McCarthy was admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts in 1984, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana in 1985, and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana in 1986.
Over the years, Ms. McCarthy’s practice has included family law, successions, wills and trusts, business and commercial law, contract disputes, general civil litigation and appellate practice. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
